2013 Stark County Farm Tour

The 2013 Stark County Farm Tour is the 24th annual tour of farms and agricultural facilities presented by the Stark County Farm Bureau. Join us this year for a fun-filled day touring some of the unique agricultural facilities that call Stark County home.

Pegasus Farm

Pegasus Farm was founded in 1985 by three Canton City School teachers for students with disabilities who envisioned more for their students. Their goal was to establish an equestrian center that could offer children with disabilities the opportunity for physical activity and recreation.

Today, more than 200 students ranging in age from 3 to 75 years participate in the therapeutic riding programs every week.

Linder Farm

“Farming is more about learning and responsibility than anything,” say Cliff Linder of Linder Farm. That philosophy has led to the growth and changes at this Stark County cattle farm where Simmental beef cattle are raised.

The Stark County Cattlemen’s Association will be serving locally raised hamburgers at this tour stop.

Royer Farms

61 years into this family dairy farm’s history, Royer Farms milks more than 700 cows all fed by crops raised by the family on 2100 acres of cropland.
